Personal injury law firm moves to Church Street

Thompsons Solicitors has taken two floors of offices at 88 Church Street in Liverpool, moving from Martins Building in Water Street.

The personal injury law firm has leased 5,350 sq ft from owner Schroders, which is in the process of completing a £1m refurbishment of the building, including a restoration of the interior and office re-fits.

The office element of the building totals around 15,000 sq ft, above a Lloyds Bank branch which occupies the ground and first floors.

Thompsons is exiting Martins Bank following its sale earlier this year to Principal Hayley Group, for conversion into a hotel.

Ian Bounds, estates manager at Thompsons, said: “After a detailed look at the available options in Liverpool, we selected 88 Church Street despite it being a building site at the time as we could see Schroders’ vision for the building.  There were far easier options and we were up against a tight timetable but the project has gone smoothly and we look forward to relocating shortly.”

Worthington Owen acted for Thompsons.  Schroders represented themselves.
