Overbury completes for Black & Veatch
The fit-out contractor has completed an eight-week project for global construction and engineering consultancy Black & Veatch at One City Place in Chester.
Black & Veatch became the fourth business to sign at Muse Developments’ scheme in February, agreeing a 10-year lease on 7,300 sq ft.
Overbury’s fit-out, its second at the 70,000 sq ft building, included 80-plus workstations and four meeting rooms.
Philip Westwood, director at Overbury, said: “We’re delighted to have handed over the keys for Black & Veatch’s new office, and we’re confident that the business and its people will see real benefits from the carefully designed workspace and amenities.”
City Place is a 3.5-acre development that forms part of Chester’s new central business quarter next to the Shropshire Union Canal.
Muse secured a £4.8m development loan from the North West Evergreen Fund and a £1.4m grant from the European Regional Development Fund to part-fund the scheme.
