Orbit among the deals at Aintree
Orbit Developments has secured three trade counter lettings at Aintree Racecourse Retail & Business Park, with Benchmarx Kitchens, CTD Tiles and Plumbing Depot signing at the scheme.
Bill Davies, sales director at Burnley-based James Hargreaves Plumbing Merchants, parent company of Plumbing Depot, said: “Aintree Business Park is the ideal location to help develop our ever-growing branch network. Its positioning offers very quick and easy access for new and existing trade customers, specifically those who trade from our nearby branches at Huyton and Southport.”
Plumbing Depot has signed for 4,000 sq ft. CTD Tiles has also taken a 4,000 sq ft unit, while Benchmarx, part of the Travis Perkins group, has taken a 5,5000 sq ft unit.
Other trade brands at the park include Screwfix, Toolstation, PTS and Clifton Trade Bathrooms.
Dennis Dwyer, divisional director for Merseyside at Orbit Developments, said: “These lettings demonstrate the popularity of Aintree as a trade counter location servicing Liverpool and the surrounding areas. The desirability of the park is enhanced by the strong line-up of brands in addition to ease of access.”
The joint agents for the scheme are CBRE and Hitchcock Wright & Partners.
Orbit has also just signed footwear company Rockport at its 11 Station Road offices in Wilmslow, taking the building to fully let. The shoe brand was sold to Berkshire Partners and New Balance by Adidas in 2015, triggering its move from the German sportswear giant’s Stockport base.
The 2,249 sq ft it has taken with Orbit will house Rockport’s European head office.
