Ocon appoints business development manager
Manchester-based Ocon Construction has appointed Nick Williamson-Corbett as business development manager with a remit to broaden the company's client base into new sectors.
He joins from fit out, construction and management firm ISG, where he was business development manager for its leisure division.
Williamson-Corbett is a qualified civil engineer with more than 20 years working in business development management.
His experience includes account management, bid management and funding solutions for clients.
Ocon said his appointment is key for the firm's plans to leverage its position in the student living sector to help it grow to a £100m business over the next three-four years.
Ocon works across a number of sectors including commercial, retail and residential care homes.
Andy Barker, managing director of Ocon, said: "We have developed an excellent reputation in the student accommodation sector and will continue to build on this strength. However, the specialist skills and services that have helped us achieve so much in that sector are transferable to others and, as a dynamic, ambitious company, we want to maximise that potential. Finding the right person for this critical new role was essential and we're delighted to have brought on board someone of Nick's calibre and experience."
