Sutton Kersh October auction raises £3.7m

A vacant grade two-listed six bedroom house in Wavertree was sold for £217,000 at Sutton Kersh's latest property auction in Merseyside.

Olive Mount Villas on Mill Lane was on offer for a guide price of £125,000 and was one of 52 lots sold.

A three-bedroom lodge within the grounds of Allerton Hall was sold for £183,000, on behalf of Liverpool City Council.

A commercial investment in Birkenhead which is occupied by Mr Bubbles hand car wash was sold for £78,000 from a guide price of £35,000. In Prenton, a block of ten part-let garages producing annual income of £2,100 achieved £27,500.

Cathy Holt, auction manager, said: "A real feature of the sale was the number of lots which attracted competitive bids and helped drive prices up.

"We are also receiving numerous enquiries about available stock so I anticipate final proceeds to be closer to £4m."

Sutton Kersh is inviting instructions for its final sale of the year which takes place on Thursday 11 December.
