Speculative warehouse build spree continues
Harbert Management has completed 212,000 sq ft of warehouses at Heywood Distribution Park in Rochdale, and is on site with a further 238,000 sq ft in Manchester’s Trafford Park.
The two buildings total 145,000 sq ft and 67,000 sq ft respectively, and were built by Russells Construction.
Space across the 200-acre Heywood Distribution Park totals around 2m sq ft.
In Trafford Park, Harbert has set an August completion date for two facilities on Ashburton Road West.
The units of 140,500 sq ft and 97,295 sq ft are being developed speculatively.
Harbert recently finished building a 61,640 sq ft warehouse in Trafford Park, on Mosley Road, which is currently to let.
Meanwhile, nearby in Trafford Park developer Canmoor has completed 113,250 sq ft of warehouses across two units on Mosley Road, built by Construction Partnership UK
Unit one is made up of 32,280 sq ft of warehousing together with 5,450 sq ft of ground floor offices, while Unit two is 63,520 sq ft of warehousing with a two-storey office of 12,000 sq ft.
