Ridge takes space at Belvedere

Property and construction consultancy Ridge & Partners has exchanged contracts on offices in Belvedere House on Booth Street, to help accommodate the firm’s continued growth.

The Greengate-based consultancy has agreed to lease 4,400 sq ft of space on the fifth floor, under assignment from GCA Altium. The office move is scheduled for early May. The firm’s current space in the Abito building totals 3,600 sq ft.

The Manchester office is currently advising Ask on its Embankment and First Street projects; Dandara on Chapel Wharf; and Transport for Greater Manchester and Stockport Council on their town centre action plan for Stockport.

The move will allow the growing practice to accommodate 50 members of staff as well as additional client facilities.

Chris Bradburn, partner, said: “Manchester is cementing its position as Britain’s second city and the sheer breadth of work we have demonstrates that infrastructure investment is across the board. It bodes well for the city’s competitiveness over the next decade.”

Nationwide, Ridge has more than 600 permanent staff advising clients across a range of disciplines, including architecture, building services engineering, building surveying, expert witness and advisory services, health and safety, project management and quantity surveying.

The landlord at Belvedere House is WestInvest and was represented by law firm Eversheds Sutherland and agent OBI. Ridge was advised by Mark Worthington at Worthington Owen and Brookstreet Des Roches on legals.
