Permission granted for Redrow Fylde scheme

The development of 42 open-market and affordable family homes in Ribby Road, Wrea Green, has received reserved matters approval.

Manchester-based chartered town planner Hourigan Connolly submitted the planning application on behalf of Redrow Homes' Lancashire division.

The application was initially refused but was granted outline planning permission at appeal in April 2014.

Beverley Dawson, senior planner at Hourigan Connolly, said: "This is an important development for Redrow Homes in Lancashire who are keen to get on site and start delivering homes. As a result, Hourigan Connolly was tasked with negotiating a quick, positive decision. We worked hard to make sure that the planning officers at Fylde were in a position to support the proposal.

"The proposed development takes account of the comments of the inspector when he allowed the outline appeal and represents high quality design to compliment village of Wrea Green. The approved layout incorporates good quality soft landscaping, paying particular attention to the retention of a number of existing mature trees."
