Mace appoints new regional boss

Mace has promoted Steve Gillingham to director for the northern region after six years at Mace's cost consultancy arm, Sense.

Gillingham helped grow the Sense business from its London beginnings into a national business.

Rob Ewen, director of Mace's UK regions, said: "Steve's enterprising approach will be a great asset to our regional customers. He will bring his experience and successes in leading Mace in the northern region, as well as his inherently broad perspective on the distinctive breadth of the Mace service offer."

Mace's North West team is based in Castle Street, Castlefield in Manchester and provides programme and project management, construction delivery, cost consultancy and facilities management services across all sectors of property from schools and hospitals to rail projects and residential schemes.

Mace is working with Manchester City Council's Building Schools for the Future and City Academies programmes. Mace is also providing project management on the refurbishment of the Manchester Town Hall extension and is working with New East Manchester on the Sharp Project digital media centre.
