LFC takes more space in 20 Chapel Street

Liverpool Football Club has used its option agreement to take two further floors of office space at Rumford Investments' 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool city centre.

In January, LFC occupied the ninth floor of the 150,000 sq ft building with an option to take two further floors. Now the club has agreed to take the eighth and tenth floors at 20 Chapel Street, it brings the total floorspace occupied by LFC to nearly 30,000 sq ft.

The club moved its commercial operations into the building from Anfield stadium at the start of the year and the additional office space will give the club the option of relocating its other departments, including Liverpool FC TV, from their current base in Garston.

William Coleman, marketing manager for Rumford Investments, said: "Despite current economic conditions 20 Chapel Street is filling up fast which affirms our belief that the building is Liverpool's premier office location. We are delighted that Liverpool Football Club has taken up its option and taken more space in the building."

Tenants at the building, which has been let slowly since completion in 2006, includes Barclays and Barclays Wealth, Bank of Ireland, Broadway Malyan, Ernst & Young, Panmure Gordon, Finch, BoConcept, Qire and Poole PR.

The agents on the building are Mason Owen, Hitchcock, Wright & Partners and DTZ.
