Law firm takes floors in St James’s Tower

BA Pension Fund, advised jointly by Savills and OBI Property, has let 6,000 sq ft at St James’s Tower in Manchester’s Chinatown to personal injury law firm Gowing Law Solicitors.

The firm has agreed a five-year lease at £22.50/sq ft on the refurbished 12th and 14th floors of the Charlotte Street property, where other tenants include Slater & Gordon, Watts and insurance firm JLT.

Daniel Barnes, associate in Savills’ office agency team, said: “Following significant investment in refurbishment, the building has attracted considerable interest. Works are now underway on the refurbishment of the sixth through to the tenth floors, which will be ready for occupation in December.”

Gowing Law is the trading name for Coupland Cavendish.

Savills is also managing agent at the property.
