JMW Real Estate to open Spinningfields office

JMW Solicitors will move 120 staff to a new office at 3 Hardman Street in Spinningfields, Manchester, following a hiring spree in its real estate team.

The solicitor’s real estate team, which includes residential, financial, and commercial property divisions, has agreed a nine-year lease for 14,000 sq ft of space on the fourth floor at 3 Hardman Street.

The new office will be home to around 120 staff, with 61 staff from the residential team and 59 people from the financial and commercial teams moving into the office. It will also include room for new hires.

JMW has taken the space following a rapid expansion in the past six months, with the solicitor adding 70 people to its real estate team since March this year.

A fit-out by ADT Workplace will now get underway, with the real estate division set to move into its new accommodation before the end of the year.

JMW’s existing office space at 1 Byrom Place, also in Spinningfields, will be retained.

Paul Walker, managing partner at JMW, said: “The new office space illustrates our continued growth at JMW and we are pleased to have invested in the future of our growing real estate team.

“This move means there is further room for expansion for all our other departments who remain at our office at 1 Byrom Place in Spinningfields. We are looking forward to seeing the new office space once the fit out has taken place at 3 Hardman Street.”

JMW was advised by Andrew Timms of Edwards & Co, and the landlord, Hardman Trustee No1 and No2, was represented by Savills.
