GL Hearn appoints chief operating officer

Property, planning and development consultancy GL Hearn has announced the appointment of Alan Lattimer to the role.

Lattimer will be based in the London office, but will work across all of GL Hearn's offices, including Manchester, as well as Glasgow, Bath, Southampton and Sunderland.

He takes the post following a period in which he has provided consultancy advice to GL Hearn.

Lattimer's new remit will include overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the company, implementation of strategic projects and direction as agreed by the GL Hearn board of directors.

Brian Sloggett, GL Hearn's managing director, said: "This is a key appointment for us and we are delighted to welcome Alan to the GL Hearn team. His vast experience and skills will help the implementation of the GL Hearn strategy, strengthen our operations and assist with our objective of becoming a blue chip planning and development consultancy."

Lattimer's previous experience includes the role of chief operating officer at Drivers Jonas. There he was a main board member and played a key role in managing the merger with Deloitte, in early 2010.
