Franklins Deli closes in Spinningfields

Privately owned catering company Franklins Hospitality has closed its deli in Left Bank in Spinningfields, Manchester city centre.

The closure of the New York-inspired Franklins Deli in Manchester comes just six months after it was launched amid a period of rapid expansion for the firm.

The retail arm of the outside caterer began in Liverpool with the opening of two outlets; one in St Paul's Square in the business district and one in the Fact art-house cinema on Wood Street.

A further 1,000 sq ft outlet, under the Franklins Deli brand, was opened in July last year in York Street in Manchester.

Adam Franklin, owner and managing director of Franklins Hospitality, opened a third deli in Liverpool at the Metquarter in October.

All of the Franklin Deli outlets in Liverpool and the deli in York Street are still trading.

Adam Franklin was unavailable for comment when contacted by Place.
