Four lettings at Westpoint
Landlord Marcol has secured 17,500 sq ft of lettings in its 16-storey office block in Chester Road, Manchester.
New tenants include Pertemps People Development and Central Manchester University Hospital's NHS Foundation Trust, which have agreed five-year leases on offices totalling 3,439 sq ft and 3,545 sq ft respectively.
In addition, charity Mencap has doubled the space it occupies to 6,984 sq ft and agreed a 10-year lease. The Debt Advisor, which occupies 3,430 sq ft, has renewed its lease for a further five years.
Quoting rents at Westpoint start at £7.50/sq ft, with suites from 1,400 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft available.
Marcol is represented jointly by Savills and Edwards & Co.
Richard Lowe, associate director of office agency at Savills, said: "The recent spate of letting activity at Westpoint underlines its strength as a well-priced option for occupiers who do not necessarily need to be in the city centre, but wish to benefit from the metro station, onsite gym, café and stunning views across the region. With eight transactions completed in the last 12 months, it is one of the best performing buildings in the region."

I know the location isn’t perfect but this is a solid building – and well worth £7.50/Sq Ft. Good to see it performing well.
