Extra care scheme approved in Helsby

Cheshire West & Chester Council has approved proposals for an extra care scheme including 77 apartments on land at Cable Drive, Helsby.

Mosaic Town Planning acted on behalf of Your Housing Group for the application, which also involved an associated outline consent for 70 dwellings on behalf of the landowner, Brookhouse.

The extra care apartments are self-contained and designed specifically for older people requiring care, but who are still able to maintain a degree of independence. The communal facilities include a bistro, TV lounge, nail bar, hair salon and craft room.

Architect Pozzoni developed the design proposals for the three and four storey development fronting Cable Drive.

The extra care scheme will benefit from Homes & Communities Agency funding.

Your Housing Group aims to start works on site in October.
