Energy company expands in Preston docks

PFP Energy, part of social housing group Places for People, is relocating its offices at Preston docks to support the company’s growth.

Forty staff will move from the Pavilions into larger premises at Edward VII Quay. The move will provide additional space for 50 extra staff in due course.

The business is taking on more customers who are switching away from the big six energy suppliers.

PFP Energy has agreed a deal with MCR Property for 8,500 sq ft on a 10-year lease. Agent Robert Pinkus & Co acted on behalf of the landlord.

Simran Soin, group finance director of Places for People, said: “Edward VII Quay was the perfect solution to our expansion plans, providing a high quality environment for our staff in a location we are very familiar with.”

Danny Pinkus, partner at Robert Pinkus, said: “Places for People were already familiar with the benefits that working on Preston Marina brings and were hesitant about having to move, although being in much need of additional space. Edward VII Quay provided an excellent local solution, with the added benefit of having possibly one of the best parking provisions in central Preston, which clinched the deal.”
