Downing welcomes new tenants

Commercial landlord Downing has reported two small lettings in its Liverpool office portfolio.

Mencap Liverpool has taken a 1,200 sq ft suite in Federation House on Hope Street. The charity is relocating to the building's fourth floor on a three-year lease, from its current offices on London Road.

Downing has also let 1,500 sq ft of office space at 1 Old Hall Street to insurance brokers, Butterworth Spengler, on a five-year lease. Keppie Massie is the letting agent for both buildings.

Peter Keppie, commercial surveyor at Downing, said: "Our wide-range of building locations, from the cultural quarter to the commercial district ensures that we continue to attract a diverse range of businesses."

Downing owns 1m sq ft of commercial properties in Liverpool, including the Grade II* listed Port of Liverpool Building on Liverpool's World Heritage waterfront site.
