BIM designer’s expansion continues

Cheshire-based interior designer SpaceO has appointed two new members of staff, taking recruitment this year to 16.

The company, which specialises in furniture, fixtures and equipment installation using BIM technology in the education, healthcare, leisure and commercial industries, says it has been through an 'aggressive recruitment drive to support a substantial period of growth'.

Designer Sanjay Prasad, who moves from Manchester rival NoChintz, joins SpaceO as commercial project design lead.

Also joining the team is Katherine Faulkner, who'll take the post as front of house receptionist at the SpaceO offices. She moves from a similar role at an electronics company in the region.
Wayne Taylor, managing director, said: "We've employed 16 people now since the turn of the year, 10 of them in the last quarter alone and that's testament to the rate at which the business is growing. We've recently won some very special design projects and I'm delighted that we've got a team in place who are just as passionate about those as me."

SpaceO is now looking to expand its team again to support the volumes of work it is managing, with ambitions to appoint more members of staff in the coming months. The company is also expanding its current office space to accommodate its growth.

The company is based in Lymm and was established in 2009 by former Synectic colleagues Taylor and Phillip Gardner. SpaceO has grown from two staff to 35 members of staff in two years.
