New Look signs for Modus in Blackpool

Fashion chain New Look is the latest tenant to take space at Modus Properties' Houndshill shopping centre extension in Blackpool.

The high street retailer will take 19,000 sq ft of space at the newly refurbished and extended shopping centre, which is due to open in summer 2008.

Other mainstream retailers to have taken space in the centre include Debenhams, whose 100,000 sq ft store will anchor the centre, Jane Norman, River Island, Next and H&M.

Houndshill was bought by Modus around two years ago for £62m from joint venture partners Fordgate and Academy Land. By the time the £70m investment has been spent on redeveloping the centre and doubling its size, it will be worth £185m and will total 398,000 sq ft.
