New Booths nears completion in Garstang town centre
Interest in the retail opportunities at Garstang town centre near Preston is gathering momentum, according to Robert Pinkus & Co.
The property consultants is looking after the marketing of shop units including the new Booths food store, due to be complete in 20 weeks.
Claire Eccleston, retail surveyor at Robert Pinkus & Co, said: "As work on site becomes more advanced, enquiries are rising as people can now start to visualise how the scheme will look when it's finished. There's a growing air of excitement surrounding the scheme within the local community and businesses are interested to find out about the opportunities available."
Adjacent to the new Booths store, four retail units will front the new Town Square, just off Park Hill Road, one of which has already been taken by Wyre Borough Council for its new Tourist Information Centre.
The ground floor shop units offer a total space of 2,493 sq ft, while offices up to 5,608 sq ft are also available adjacent to Booths, located on the first floor above the new retail units and food store.
Within the new Booths store itself a further 1,477 sq ft of retail space is also available at first floor level.
The former Booths building is now also being marketed for lease or sale and has already received plenty of attention from several national retailers.
The two-storey building offers up to 10,378 sq ft of retail space that can be let as a whole or split into smaller self-contained units, subject to requirements, and lends itself to a variety of uses including restaurant operators, subject to planning.
