Napthens to establish new Lancashire head office

The law firm will bring together colleagues from two of its existing offices, having taken the 30,000 sq ft second floor at Waterside in Blackburn.

Monte Blackburn, one of the property businesses in the Issa brothers’ group, is the landlord at the Haslingden Road building, which opened in 2020 and has largely been used as the headquarters of various parts of the EG Group. The EG on the Move division moved last year.

Legal and professional services firm Napthens has now secured space that will allow the relocation of its Preston and Blackburn teams, allowing them to work from under one roof.

Napthens said that the move, planned for early 2027, follows an extensive search for a location that would support the firm’s long-term ambitions, provide a modern and collaborative working environment, and reflect the way teams work today.

Stephen Faulkner, managing director, said: “This is an important milestone for Napthens and a significant investment in our future.

“We’ve spent considerable time exploring options across Preston and the surrounding area to find the right location for our Lancashire head office. Waterside gives us the opportunity to create a modern workplace that supports collaboration, strengthens connections across our teams and provides an excellent environment for both our colleagues and clients.

“Bringing our Preston and Blackburn teams together in one location will help us build on our strong culture, enhance the way we work together and support our continued growth across the North West”

Trevor Dawson is engaged as agent at Waterside.

Napthens also has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Southport, Kendal and Fylde. The Preston and Blackburn offices at present are at Winckley Square and Walker Office Park, respectively.
