LSH reshuffles Northern leadership

Lambert Smith Hampton has promoted Abid Jaffry to head of Northern capital markets covering across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle. He will be replaced as head of Manchester office by Matthew Scrimshaw, based in Leeds, who becomes head of the North.

Jaffry said: “The North’s regions hold so much untapped opportunity and our unrivalled network of offices means we provide the best market knowledge and service to clients.”

Jaffry acted as head of LSH Manchester for four years. During his tenure, he grew the operation to 150 people – 140 in Manchester, 10 in Liverpool – through the acquisitions of niche retail specialist Tushingham Moore and ES Group.

He added: “We restructured LSH at a time when it would have been easier to stick with what had worked previously but we didn’t. We needed to reflect the progressive ethos of the company and the way the market had changed over that time. I am very proud of what we have achieved, doubling the size of the business, but it is now time for a fresh challenge.”

David Moore, former senior partner of Tushingham Moore, will continue in his role as head of the North West and lead business development in the region, in addition to his role as national head of retail.
