LSH building team grows

Lambert Smith Hampton has hired Chris Lowther as director from Workman as it adds to its building consultancy team in Manchester.

LSH said the department has increased turnover by a third in the last 12 months. Two graduates, Nick Coffey and Tom Smith, have also joined the team.

Gayle Taylor, head of North West building consultancy, said: “Over the last four years we’ve built up the size of the team to 16, and increased the breadth and strength of expertise we have. This is being increasingly recognised in the market with both our existing clients and new ones.

“We now have £41m of construction projects currently under management, and in excess of £100m of construction works being monitored across the region. We’re not just winning more work but the size, scale and ambitiousness of the projects we’re working on is increasing too, so to maintain a first class level of delivery we’ve strengthened our resource.

“Chris brings with him a huge amount of experience in technical due diligence which has bolstered the team’s existing capabilities. His arrival means we’ve got more resource to provide even more commercial advice, and it allows us to leverage more of the follow-on construction work that we’re so well placed to deliver.”
