Liverpool ONE agrees four lettings
Grosvenor has signed retailers Jack Wolfskin, Lindt and Smiggle, and restaurant Cosy Club, to four units on Paradise Street.
Jack Wolfskin, the German outdoor clothing and equipment brand, is opening a 3,000 sq ft store at 93 Paradise Street, which was formerly occupied by American Apparel.
Opposite on the corner of Paradise Street and Peter’s Lane, the former USC shop is being split into four units. Swiss chocolatier Lindt is making its Liverpool ONE debut with a 1,000 sq ft shop on the ground floor, next to Smiggle, the Australian stationery brand, which has taken a 700 sq ft unit.
The fourth addition to Liverpool ONE is restaurant Cosy Club, which has taken 5,900 sq ft above Lindt and Smiggle. Cosy Club offers casual dining and drinking, describing itself as “mansion splendour meets village hall eccentricity”.
All four brands will open in time for Christmas.
Miles Dunnett, director of portfolio management at Grosvenor Europe, said: “These latest signings, three of which are international brands that have singled out Liverpool ONE for flagship stores in the region, highlight the sustained strength of demand. Following on from the highly successful opening of Victoria’s Secret last month, they reinforce Liverpool ONE’s position as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the UK.”
Metis Real Estate Advisors and Cushman & Wakefield acted for Liverpool ONE. Savills represented Jack Wolfskin, LRC Property acted for Lindt, and MMX Retail for Smiggle. Cosy Club was represented by Insight Retail Consulting.
Only a couple of major additions (Selfridges for one?) and no longer need to ever go over to Manchester?
By Schwyz
I doubt Selfridges will open in Liverpool when they have two major outlets in the Manchester area
By CitySpotter
Selfridges will do well in Liverpool. They love paying £25 for a pair of drawers over there.A sort of Northern Essex.
By Elephant
I wouldn’t be so sure City Spotter… Liverpool is getting back to where it was when it was THE major shopping centre outside London. Liverpool is a real destination with several strings to its bow.
By Alfie
Your point doesn’t make sense Elephant; unless you are suggesting the Manchester Selfridge stores serve the “Northern Essex” market also.
But yeah, agree that people in Liverpool do tend to make a bit more effort and take pride in their appearance.

There are a lot of shops in Manchester that aren’t in Liverpool, and Manchester sells many many more luxury goods.

And there is a lot of shops restaurants and things to see that are in Liverpool that you will never have in Manchester ,I personally find Liverpool much more appealing and I am from Devon.
