Knights strengthens Manchester real estate team

Experienced lawyer Phillip Birchall has joined the national professional services business at partner level.

Birchall brings two decades’ experience to Knights, including eight and a half years as a partner at Eversheds and Pinsent Masons, covering a range of property transactions.

He specialises in development work, advising private sector developers, public bodies, funders, contractors and investors on complex, multi-phase development and regeneration schemes.

Birchall’s expertise spans joint ventures, framework agreements and competitive dialogue processes across a range of sectors including industrial, leisure, office, sport, retail and mixed-use.

In making the move to Knights, based at 2 St Peter’s Square, he joins a team of more than 60 professionals in Manchester, working as part of a nationwide team across 28 UK locations.

Birchall said: “I am delighted to join Knights and support the Real Estate team in driving forward its growth plans across the North West market and nationally. I am impressed by the clear focus the business has on its clients, its people and the regional markets in which it operates, and it is an exciting time to join.”

Client services director Lisa Shacklock said: “Phillip is a fantastic addition to the team – both here in Manchester and to our team of more than 200 real estate professionals nationwide.

“We’re the business that people turn to for professional services everywhere in the UK, and that fact is helping us attract people like Phillip. With more growth ahead, it’s a really exciting time to be part of the team at Knights.”

With 1,250 professionals working collaboratively across 28 offices nationwide, Knights provides multiple services to business clients alongside advisory services to private individuals.
