IT services firm upsizes in Bolton
Cleartech Communications has signed a five-year lease to take the 3,700 sq ft Chesham House at St Georges Square office park.
The firm, which provides IT and telecoms services for businesses, is relocating from its existing 2,700 sq ft office in Atlas House, within the same scheme, into the larger self-contained premises.
Owned by an overseas family trust, St Georges Square comprises 10 office buildings totalling 37,000 sq ft in Bolton town centre.
Tony Consterdine, managing director of Cleartech, said: “The decision to move to Chesham House was taken to keep our growing workforce safe during these testing times.
“Despite the current economic uncertainty, I am confident that our new home will enable Cleartech to continue to grow and provide an aspirational environment for our staff and customers.”
David Thwaites, founder of Thwaites Real Estate, which is the asset manager for the business park, said: “This deal demonstrates that, even with the local restrictions, there is still demand for high quality office space in the town for companies such as Cleartech, whose business model has enabled them to thrive during lockdown.”
Following a package of refurbishment works at St Georges Square, the park is now 75% let, according to Thwaites.
Lamb & Swift Commercial is joint letting agent for St Georges Square, alongside Thwaites Real Estate.
Cleartech was unrepresented in the transaction.
