Indurent moves quickly with 500,000 sq ft Rochdale industrial
The developer secured outline consent for a up to 560,000 sq ft on a 26-acre site at Heywood Distribution Park in May and has now firmed up its intentions for the scheme.
Indurent, formed last year through a merger between St Modwen and Industrials REIT, wants to build a single 500,000 sq ft unit on the site, preserving a 3.1-acre section for open storage.
The outline permission allows for 60,000 sq ft more space than planned and put forward two possible configurations – two units of 368,000 sq ft and 189,000 sq ft and a single 500,000 sq ft unit.
In the months following the outline permission, Indurent has plumped for the single unit option, and tabled plans for the project.
UMC Architects and Planning Prospects are advising the developer on its plans.
