Indigo Planning strengthens team

Indigo Planning has strengthened its Manchester office with a significant addition to its senior team and a further promotion and appointment.

Associate Andrew Johnston has moved from the company's Wimbledon office to Manchester. He has experience in the commercial and residential sectors.

His recent work includes turning over a planning refusal for 50 new homes in Surrey, in line with the Government's commitment to support sustainable development to significantly boost the supply of new homes.

Bernadette Woods, who joined Indigo as a graduate in 2008, has been promoted to senior planner.

James Litherland has been promoted to planner. He joined Indigo Planning two years ago after achieving his RTPI-accredited Masters' at the University of Liverpool.

Jake Compton has also joined the Manchester team as an assistant planner.

Doug Hann, director and recently appointed head of Indigo Planning's Manchester office, said: "As well as having expertise across commercial and residential development, Andrew is recognised for his work dealing with housing land supply and green belt issues.

"We continue to develop the team with more appointments and promotions and this is testament to the period of growth we've experienced over the past couple of years."

Bernadette Woods has also been promoted to Senior Planner. Since joining Indigo Planning in June 2008 as a graduate, Bernadette has worked on a range of planning projects including strategic residential developments as well as gaining listed building and change of use consents.
