HFL buys own home in Denton
The building maintenance company has acquired an 8,000 sq ft headquarters on Alphagate Drive as the company embarks on its next phase of growth following an MBO earlier this year.
The purchase of Delta House in Denton will see HFL Building Solutions relocate a short distance from its previous office in Freeman House on Oldham Street.
Jake Saxton took over the running of the building maintenance company from his father Dave, who founded the business in 2005 and is now its chairman, earlier this year.
The acquisition of a head office formed part of Saxton’s initial plans for the business, which provides a range of services including planned preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical, and lighting.
“The purchase of Delta House marks a significant milestone for Saxton Group Properties and HFL Building Solutions, especially as HFL celebrates its 20th anniversary,” he said.
“Following our recent management buyout, we felt it was the right time to invest in a permanent home that reflects our growth, ambitions, and values. Our commitment to Tameside was clear from the start. With our current head office in Denton and the majority of our administrative support team based locally, it was important to us that we remain rooted in the community that has supported us over the years.”
He added: “As a company deeply involved in sustainability, we are excited to practice what we preach by integrating a number of green technologies into the building’s renovation and fit-out such as solar panels, a high-efficiency HVAC system, and smart lighting.

HFL, which employs 160 staff, is aiming to grow a client roster that includes the likes of CBRE and BNP Paribas and buildings such as the Lowry Theatre, and the Printworks.
Outside of Manchester, HFL maintains Alton Towers Hotels and Cardiff University.
