Harrison Pitt awards new directorship

Lancaster-based Harrison Pitt Architects has grown its board of directors with the promotion of Zoe Hooton after four years with the practice.

Hooton will work alongside directors Richard Wooldridge and Richard Parker on the board.

She joined the Castle Hill-based practice in 2012, and has advised on a range of projects including the restoration of the grade one-listed St Peter’s Church in Heysham, and the design of a multi-million-pound advanced manufacturing technology centre at Furness College.

She is currently working on a major project for a luxury hotel extension in the Lake District, due to open in 2017.

Hooton said: “I’m really proud of this achievement. Qualifying as an architect was a special experience and now to be invited to become a director of this practice is an exciting opportunity. We’ve worked on some great projects together here and I’m looking forward to many more.”
