Gazprom signs at City Road
Global energy company Gazprom has taken a 17,000 sq ft office in One City Road in Manchester city centre.
The company has agreed a three-year lease on the first floor of the building as a short-term base until its new building at the First Street complex opposite One City Road is complete.
Gazprom signed for a 40,000 sq ft partial pre-let within a 157,000 sq ft block earlier this year. The building is part of the next phase of the First Street development.
Construction on the site next to Number One First Street is expected to commence in October 2015 with completion in March 2017.
The 20-acre First Street was sold by developer Ask to European real estate investment company Patrizia Immobilien AG earlier this month for an undisclosed sum.
DTZ and joint agent Matthews & Goodman acted on behalf of the landlord at One City Road, Wesleyan Assurance Society.
CBRE acted for Gazprom.
