From what to pack to how to manage your diary, those attending the ‘How to do MIPIM well’ event benefited from a series of top tips from veterans of the global property conference.
Hosted at JMW Solicitors’ Spinningfields office, the session focussed on making MIPIM manageable and providing the advice participants need to make the most out of the Cannes convention. The experts included Thomas Pearson, head of real estate commercial at JMW; Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner at Place North; and Katrina Davis, director of communications at Civic.
A selection of tips included making your social media announcement as soon as possible saying you are attending, leaving plenty of time in your diary to get between meetings (and making sure you have free time for “MIPIM magic”), and having time reserved for when you get back to follow up with your new connections.
Place’s North of England Suite was also identified as an ideal place to stop by if you are hoping for either a spontaneous meeting, an informative session, or just a space to relax between events – ideally soaking up the sunshine on the terrace overlooking the Croisette.
