First houses for sale at Saltersford resi scheme

Russell Homes has launched Saltersford Gardens, a £25.5m nine-acre development in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

Designers MPSL worked with Walsingham Planning, and permission was granted in August 2016. The scheme was first submitted and rejected by Cheshire East Council in 2014, but after two appeals the decision was overturned in January 2015.

The 93 properties range between two, three, four and five-bedroom houses, and the first artist’s impressions have revealed what the different houses may look like.

Construction on the programme began in January 2017, and is expected to be completed in phases by summer 2020.

Situated off Macclesfield Road, the first homes have been released for sale, and buyers will be able to move in before the end of the year.

Highway improvements are currently being made to Macclesfield Road, with a new roundabout installed at its junction with Manor Avenue.

A Russell Homes spokesman said: “We have been very conscious that this development should deliver a mix of housing which would cater to the demands of different people within the community.

“The inclusion of two-bedroom properties aims to meet the needs of the younger first time buyers and perhaps older downsizers, while the larger homes will provide options for families.”

Prices for the first 10 properties range from just under £200,000 for a two-bed house to just under £500,000 for a five-bed house. Russell Homes also offers the Help to Buy scheme.
