Emcor to build £13m Liverpool Uni power plant

Stockport-based Emcor Engineering Services has won a £13.5m contract to build a new combined heating and power plant for the University of Liverpool.

The contract, awarded by the subsidiary University of Liverpool Energy Company, is to create a new energy centre to feed the university's district heating system for the north and south campuses either side of Brownlow Hill.

The Grade II-listed Victorian Boiler House will house the plant with a glazed extension built for extra boilers.
