Elliot starts on final scheme at Wolstenholme Square
Developer Elliot Group and contractor Newry have started on the final building at the £100m Wolstenholme Square project in Liverpool, featuring 200 apartments and commercial space.
The £40m development, on the former headquarters of social care charity PSS, will reach 11 storeys and includes 102 one-beds, 66 two-beds, and 32 studio apartments. There are also two commercial units on the ground floor, which the developer said it would lease to local entrepreneurs.
Named The Address and designed by Falconer Chester Hall, the project is set tot complete in June 2020.
Once this part of the scheme completes, Wolstenholme Square will include more than 700 homes, 12,000 sq ft of commercial space, and a 128-bed hotel. The £20m hotel, managed by Epic, opened last month and also includes a residents’ bar and gym.
Elliot Lawless of Elliot Group said: “It’s great to see the steel framework coming out of the ground and another tower crane on the Liverpool skyline.
“Hundreds of people have already moved in to the earlier phases of the development and our lettings strategy for the commercial space is bringing some really interesting proposals forward from local entrepreneurs. The feel of the area is being transformed and the Seel Street Hotel has added nicely to the mix, too.
“We always said that if we could carefully manage the mix of uses and activities we’d re-define what was a tired corner of the Ropewalks and I think we’ve achieved that. The Address will complete the picture perfectly.”
Awesome. Can’t fault this developer.
