DTM Legal makes 6,600 sq ft Chester move

The law firm will relocate from Archway House on Station Road to Knights Court on the other side of the city.

DTM Legal has signed a lease for 6,600 sq ft at FT Patten Properties’ Knights Court on Weaver Street near Chester Racecourse. The lease length was not disclosed.

The firm will move into the second floor of the building at the end of this month, leaving Archway House, where it has been since 2008.

The move sees DTM move closer to its origins. The company was formed out of Walker Smith Way, which was based on Nicholls Street across the road from Knights Court. Walker Smith Way has since closed its Chester office having been acquired by Slater & Gordon.

Legat Owen advised FT Patten Properties on the deal while DTM was unrepresented.

Will Sadler, director at Legat Owen, said:  which is both letting and managing agent for the building, said: “We were delighted to secure DTM Legal for Knights Court. They are a firm which has undergone substantial growth and this move is testament to that success. Knights Court will enable them to grow whilst remaining in Chester city centre.

“Knights Court was chosen with energy efficiency in mind, incorporating modern facilities that support sustainability and promote employee well-being. We wish DTM all the best for this exciting new chapter.”

We are delighted with the move to Knights Court. Due to our expansion we are needing more space and the new premises will be perfect. Will Sadler, Legat Owen has been invaluable in securing the deal. We are looking forward to our next phase.
