Cyprotex picks Alderley Park for UK HQ
Life sciences business Cyprotex has completed the relocation of its whole UK team to Alderley Park, in a major boost for the Manchester Science Partnerships-owned facility.
It will now occupy 24,750 sq ft of offices and lab space at the park, accommodating its 106 staff.
It previously occupied 5,500 sq ft of lab space within the Biohub as well as space in Macclesfield, which has historically been its headquarters. Cyprotex also operates from two locations in the US. It was acquired by German drug discovery group Evotex in October 2016.
Alderley Park’s managing director Chris Doherty said: “Alderley Park is renowned for its world-class life science facilities and collaborative business environment and it is therefore great news that this ambitious and innovative international business has chosen to locate its new UK site here.
“To facilitate growth of the UK business, Cyprotex has over recent years expanded into laboratories here. We are now delighted to welcome the rest of Cyprotex’ UK team to the expanding Alderley Park community and look forward to supporting their plans to grow over the coming months and years.”
As part of the Cheshire Science Corridor, Alderley Park has enterprise zone status.
