C&W hires for retail

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed John Hussey from Savills as senior surveyor in its retail property and asset management team in Manchester.

Hussey worked at Savills for eight years as a management surveyor and split his time between the Peterborough and Manchester practices.

He brings with him client-facing experience in dealing with the day-to-day management of retail parks, industrial business parks, multi-let offices, and single-let portfolios.

Fiona Hobson, partner in the Property and Asset Management team in Manchester, said: "John will form an integral part of our future success. Over the last six months, we have won a number of new high profile contracts and with several more in the pipeline, we needed to increase our team to ensure that we ensure that we continued to meet with our client's high expectations."

The Manchester office of Cushman & Wakefield has 27 employees, and is headed up by partner Ben Roberts.
