Cushman & Wakefield hires from Laing O’Rourke

Paul Feely has joined Cushman & Wakefield in a newly-created role as head of building engineering services for the North, based out the consultant’s Manchester office at One Marsden Street.

He joins from Laing O’Rourke’s M&E division Crown House Technologies, where he spent five years working on building services design packages for projects in a variety of sectors, including retail, healthcare, and laboratories.

The newly-created role at Cushman & Wakefield will see Feely responsible for all building services enquiries across the North of England, including M&E design for both new and refurbishment projects; dilapidation; energy reduction; and energy compliance.

Before joining Laing O’Rourke, Feely worked as a principal engineer for Mott MacDonald.

Cushman & Wakefield’s building engineering services team currently employs 19 staff across the UK, and sits within the company’s wider project & development services division.

Phil Webb, chair of UK project & development services at Cushman & Wakefield said: “Our project & development services platform has teams covering project management, building consultancy, building engineering services and cost consultancy throughout all regions within the UK from our ten offices. Paul Feely’s appointment has been key to that strategy by leading our Northern building engineering services offer from Manchester.

“We are delighted that Paul has the expertise and experience to provide commercial advice to our clients within a range of sectors and he will help to further expand our national team.”
