Critical Business Solutions buys former St Helens Chamber HQ
The infrastructure services firm will occupy the first floor within the 28,620 sq ft Enterprise Centre, retaining the ground level business centre and refurbishing the top floor.
Lambert Smith Hampton advised CBS on its freehold acquisition.
No sale price was given, but the original quoting price for the Salisbury Street asset had been £2.7m when it was placed on the market. St Helens Chamber of Commerce went into administration with Grant Thornton in March 2024.
The property comprises a detached purpose-built office building arranged over three floors and was built in 2009. CBS said that the second floor will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment as part of the acquisition, extending the offering of the wider business centre.
Adam Robson, transactional director at LSH, said: “We are delighted to have advised Critical Business Solutions on the acquisition of this modern office opportunity strategically located in St Helens.
“This transaction is a fantastic example of the role property can play in enabling CBS’ growth strategy within the North West region”.
Andrew Somerville, managing director at CBS, added: “This is a significant purchase for us and we will now focus on the refurbishment of the second floor in order to get it ready for letting out to prospective tenants.”
Sanderson Wetherall represented the vendor.
