Council picks highways suppliers

Oldham Council has appointed nine firms to a £1.9m four-year highways plant hire framework.
The suppliers will provide civil engineering and construction equipment and operators on an annual, seasonal and ad hoc basis.
The companies awarded a place on the framework were as follows:
- Rhodes & Sons Construction, Oldham
- Rowan Ashworth, Oldham
- H&C Plant Hire, Stockport
- David Clarke, Oldham
- Fast Hire UK, Stockport
- GAP Group, Glasgow
- Mechplant North West, Rochdale
- JK Ashbrook, Cheshire
- A Plant, Warrington
The framework was awarded through the Chest procurement system.
