Civil Justice Centre makes Stirling Prize shortlist
Denton Corker Marshall's Manchester Civil Justice Centre in Spinningfields has been shortlisted for the UK's most prestigious architectural award, the Stirling Prize.
The CJC is up against a varied list that includes a Scandinavian cable car station by superstar architect Zaha Hadid, the third time she has been nominated, and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
This year's live televised awards will be held in Liverpool on 11 October. The shortlist for the Stirling Prize is drawn from the winners of the RIBA National Awards and the RIBA EU awards.

- Bijlmer Arena Station, by Grimshaw and Arcadis
Following the success of the CJC, Denton Corker Marshall, which has its roots in Australia, opened a Manchester office. The firm designed One New York Street for Bruntwood and is drawing up plans with Ask Developments among others.
