Cityheart appoints financial director
Luke Piggin is the first to take up the position at the regeneration company, bringing 14 years of experience to the role.
Piggin has joined Cityheart’s Wilmslow office in the newly-created position of financial director, brought in due to the number of development schemes the company has in its pipeline.
Piggin started his career in 2009 as an audit senior at KPMG before moving up to a managerial role in 2013 at MAS Real Estate, where he worked for seven years. After that, he went on to hold the position of financial director at One Heritage Group and Ascendis.
Warren Taylor, chief operating officer at Cityheart, said: “Luke’s financial acumen and experience puts him at the top of his league, as the company is continuing to grow with a number of potential new projects in the pipeline.”
Piggin stated that Cityheart is on a “huge growth trajectory.”
“I was impressed with the vision the directors set out to me and the great culture within the business”, he said.
Cityheart has two offices in the North West, with its other located in Chester.
The firm is active across the region as Wigan Council’s development partner for the £135m Galleries scheme, with approval to deliver a Multi Media Centre, 483 homes, a 144-bedroom hotel, and a new market hall and food court.
Over in Stockport, Cityheart is delivering the 196-apartment project at the Interchange, while Place reported in September that the company was looking to take over Investar’s stalled 442-home Royal George Village development.
