City Holdings sells Southport site to Unipart Rail

City Holdings has sold a four-acre site at Wennington Road in Southport to owner-occupier Unipart Rail for £2.95m.
The site was sold with vacant possession. Previous occupier CBES, a construction and engineering services specialist, has subsequently relocated to three units totaling 14,548 sq ft at Lea Green Business Park in St Helens.
Lucy Broady, senior surveyor at Ryden, acting for City Holdings, said: "The site sale is significant for Southport, allowing Unipart Rail to retain employment facilities in the area. There were no other facilities of this size available that Unipart could have moved to."
Ryden acted for CBES at Lea Green Business Park; Unipart Rail was unrepresented.
