Chester Town Hall set for internal makeover

Chester City Council is inviting applications from contractors to tender for the internal refurbishment of the Town Hall.
The £750,000 job would follow English Heritage guidelines to reflect the history of the Grade II*-listed building on Northgate Street.
The plans include fitting new lifts, diverting mechanical and engineering services, improving ventilation, replacing the sprung timber floor and bespoke heritage curtains, wallpaper and lighting.
