Capper set to deliver at Manchester’s 1903 Lounge

Manchester-based furniture consultancy Ralph Capper Interiors is putting the finishing touches on the 1903 Lounge at the airport’s Terminal 3 ahead of opening in April.

The firm was appointed following the delivery of projects for the Escape Lounges at each of the airport’s three terminals. The new lounge, named after the year of the Wright Brothers’ first flight, will hold up to 71 people and provide a more premium offering for passengers.

Adult-only, it will have a dedicated chef and seasonal menus. Users of the facility will also have access to fast track security and unlimited free WiFi.

Manchester Airport T3 Ralph Capper 2Emma Bennett, director of Ralph Capper, said: “It’s brilliant to play such a large role in creating a flexible but cosy space for local travellers to unwind in before catching their flight. Our furniture options cater for both individual and group travellers, with communal areas and private seating options.”

Beth Brewster, executive vice president of business development and lounges for Manchester Airports Group, said: “Ralph Capper is a long-standing partner for MAG and has a proven track record of delivering stylish interiors for our Escape Lounges, so it was an easy choice to ask them to help put the final touches to our new 1903 lounge.”

Ralph Capper is part of the Southerns Group, which also includes Southerns Office Interiors in Leeds and Bolton, Broadstock Office Furniture in Macclesfield and the SpaceInvader design studio, based in Manchester and London.
