Booths’ latest store gets go-ahead
Booths' long-awaited new store in Poulton-le-Fylde has moved a step closer to reality after the upmarket grocer received planning approval for the 34,000 sq ft supermarket.
Booths will relocate from its 20,000 sq ft store in the town centre to the Teanlowe Centre, which be partly demolished and rebuilt and partly refurbished.
Planning consultancy, Steven Abbott Associates, advised Booths. The new store was designed by Leach Rhodes Walker Architects. The commercial agent for Booths was Robert Pinkus & Co.
The rest of the project team includes Turner Lower Associates, Hann Tucker Associates, Integra Consulting Engineers, Durham University and Peter De Figueiredo.
Steven Abbott said: "This is another pleasing result for Booths and for the town of Poulton. The development, which received huge support from the public, will deliver the investment and improvements the Teanlowe Centre has needed for many years. The development will improve the quality and range of shopping on offer in Poulton and will be of great benefit to local people."
