BOOK NOW | Burnley: Building 10 years of growth
Join Place North West and Burnley Council at this special event in Manchester, which will showcase the latest housing, retail and student accommodation opportunities available in the growing Lancashire town.
This year has seen Burnley Council adopt its Local Plan, which will guide development into the 2030s, and is developing its Town Centre Masterplan.
The half-day conference on Tuesday 30 October will discuss the shovel-ready sites for housebuilders, the opportunities for retailers in a regenerated town centre, and the impact of Burnley’s strengthening position as a digital hub.
With the University of Central Lancashire’s well-established Burnley campus attracting a wider range of students every year, the event will also discuss how best to deliver on the accommodation and leisure needs of an increasingly youthful town.
More details will be announced in the coming weeks. Speakers confirmed so far include:
Mick Cartledge, chief executive, Burnley Council
Kate Ingram, head of economy & growth, Burnley Council
Andrew Dewhurst, director, Maple Grove
Dr Ebrahim Adia, provost at the University of Central Lancashire
Caroline Baker, planner and head of Manchester office, Cushman & Wakefield
Debbie Hernon, manager, Charter Walk Shopping Centre
Event chaired by Jessica Middleton-Pugh, editor, Place North West
