Blackpool launches hunt for Bloomfield Central architect
The local authority has cast a tender for a £360,000 contract to bring forward designs for a 40-home affordable scheme on the 2.5-acre plot at the junction of Central Drive.
Architects interested in the opportunity have until 3 November to submit before the tender submission deadline. The contract is to run from 15 December to 31 May 2026.
Blackpool Council is seeking SMEs to lead a multidisciplinary design team to run the design development of the Bloomfield Central Housing site.
The 2.5 acres have been allocated for residential development under the local authority’s 2023 local plan. The local authority expects up to 40 homes could be delivered on the plot.
